Saturday, April 28th at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Los Angeles.
Please let us know if your going what you will be helping out with. Either chipping in with money for the meat or bringing in food.
some ideas of things that you can pitch in with are: sodas, bottled water, agua fresca, etc. cooler with ice to keep the drinks cold chips salsa plates, forks, spoons, napkins salads, veggie or fruit plates cookies, cupcakes, etc.
I'm thinking that its best to bring in things that don't need to be heated or kept warm (other than the meat).
JUANITA I WILL BRING SOME SODAS AND BOTTLED WATER AND I WILL CHIP IN FOR THE MEAT? SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST YEAR AS A TEQUILERA I AM NOT SURE AS FAR AS QUANITY GOES SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I CAN SEND YOU SOME MONEY AND THAT WAY I KNOW THE AMOUNT OF DRINKS TO BUY

As far as quantity, I don't know yet but I'm sure we will have an idea a couple of days before the picnic so we know how much food and drinks to take.
So I'm putting you down for some sodas and bottled water

Hi Mary, I was thinking that it would be best if we take foods that we wont have to keep warm or heat up, except for the meat and the franks for the hot dogs, or what do you think?

Hi Mirella, of course I remember you. It's already been over a year since Jenni's been at Oceanside, I've always enjoyed going to her shows there, if you hear about her being out there again please let me know so we can get together again there like the last time.
I'm glad that you will be able to make it to the picnic, aver si se anima Vivi tambien para que se vengan juntas. Well, money for the meat will be a great help, I think it would be easier if you gave me the money that day. Haci ya ese dia sabemos how many people are pitching in on the meat y dividimos el costo.
I'm not certain I will be making it, but count me in to chip in for the cost of the meat. (regardless if I go.)
As the date gets closer, I'll will check with you Juanita to see what is missing and/or more convenient to take that day if I end up being able to make it.

OK, hello everyone, here I am checking in, so I see the date is set, and just to re-confirm, I can take chip's n salsa, and some sodas, is the grill covered? let me know please ;)

As Rufo brought to my attention, someone else (Mari) did tell us in person that she would chip in with the chips and salsa. But what we can do is Mari can bring tortilla chips and salsa and maybe you can bring other types of chips, like Doritos, Cheetos or even a variety pack that have the small bags of chips. What do you think?

Hi Mari, we don't have a grill yet, even though the park does have some but you know its better to bring one in just in case, so if you can bring yours with you that would be much help. And chips and salsa is fine
Hello everyone. I am glad to see that everyone is excited about this event. I know for sure I am. I think we are going to be eating a lot of chips and salsa! I do have a very small portable hibatchi style grill I can bring and then if someone wants it after the event they can have it. My biggest question is how many kids are going and does anyone plan on bringing games of any kind for those kids? I will research in my little but spare time on anything inexpensive that can be fun. Also does anyone have a portable radio that will run on batteries? OK I have to get back to lunch and then back to work so I will check back soon. I look forward to meeting all the new people and seeing all my friends!

I was also thinking about games, not only for the kids but also for us the grown ups that we can play at a park. I had in mind talking to Heidi about this, she is very creative and I remembered the game she set up for us at the christmas gathering, which was something different but fun.
And I second the portable radio, can someone bring one to the picnic so we can listen to some music?

We won't be wearing them and at the moment I don't have any "Tequilera gear", but I will try to have some rhinestone designs that say "Las Tequileras" for that day, hopefully I receive them in time so the new girls can purchase them too. Those were the ones we got done for Jenni's concert at the Kodak in '05.

okay, so the ice and a cooler right? and helping out with the meat too. Right now we don't have a number of people that will be attending. This week I will be sending out an email with what we already have for the picnic and what we still need, and also so people can RSVP so we can get a count together.
