Okay you guys, it's time to start planning our anniversary party. This year Tequileras will be celebrating our 6th anniversary and Tequileros there 5th. So any suggestions on where we can celebrate this year? In the past different Tequileras have offered there home to throw the party at, except for last year that we did it at a park. As far as the date, we've usually done it in August, except for one year that we did it in September. First we need to decide on a place and then we can set the date.

Hi everyone...well as a new tequis, i don't know how things go at a person's house or at the park...@ a beach sounds good too but i know it gets really messy & uncomfortable with food, i personally don't mind where it's at, i think the most important detail about the event is being able to choose a center meeting place so that all can attend...I WANT TO GET TO MEET EVERYONE :]

that's right MsRosales, the best thing to do is find something of a center meeting place for all of us, that's usually what we try to do each year.  It really doesn't matter if it's at someones house or at a park, the main idea is to get together so we can catch up with each other and celebrate another year together as a club.

Well i don't mind, Jennis1, where it's at :], gracias a dios I have transportation but i know there are people here who have trouble getting around so thats y i think near LA would be most convinient, but i will take you up for that boat trip another time!

At the moment, I do not drive my truck on the freeway (or far distances for that matter) due to the fact that some "lady" hit my truck (those of you who have me on myspace have seen the pictures)! So for me S.D. is out of the question!

Any other suggestions?

My suggestion would be to do it at the same place as last year. At a park we don't have to worry about renting tables and chairs. And well, those of you that went last year would already know how to get there. It's in Redondo Beach, near the 405 freeway, just a bit south of the 105 freeway. What do you guys think?

Wow Que Rapido otro Aņo mas ojala que este aņo si pueda ir. Y me vean gordita les doy la noticia que tengo 4 meses de embarasada aww

Ojala todas y Todos se puedan juntar y que no este tan lejos...hmm donde estara bien..Yo conosco un lugar que rentan en una iglesia en Westminster y no es muy caro lo rentan con todo y sillas y mesas por $300 entre todas podemos coperarnos y tener u pot luck o la coperacha para una taquiza o carne asada es abierto tengo fotos vere si luego te los mando Juanita.

no es caro si vamos varias personas y coperamos todos. Pero el problema es que cada aņo somos varios los que decimos que vamos a ir y al final nomas llegamos unos cuantos.

As soon as you guys know the date for the get together tell Mary and I will be there! The part is great option I did not go to the one last year, but my cousin Mary did and she said it was fun. If you guys want another option we can also have a bonfire at the beach. Anywho, what ever is decided is ok with me.

I think the dates that are best are:


08.15.09 (1 week away)
08.22.09 (2 weeks away)
08.29.09 (3 weeks away)
09.05.09 (4weeks away)
09.12.09 (5 weeks away)


All dates are on Saturday. It doesn't have to be on Saturday, but is probably the best day due to people having to work on Monday and bonfires work better at night! lol

it is a bit far from here, but it does sound like fun. I've never had a bon fire and well it's something different that we can try this year. So I'm up for it.

as far as the date, I think it would be best in September, to have plenty of time to plan it and so everyone can make there arrangements to attend (work, transportation, etc.). A Saturday would be best.

--I think is too late to offer my house though...The bonfire sounds great! I had promised to offer my house last year but I logged in too late.--My brother has a DJ so maybe this will be good for next year.

Conie, nice to see you around here.  It's set to Balboa Beach on september 5th, hope to see you there. Thanks for offering your house, maybe we can do something there for the christmas gathering this year, what do you think?

yeah, Manny is very memorable, he says the funniest things. Last years picnic was fun, I laughed a lot that day.

I'm not sure where Balboa Beach is, all I know is what Mary has told us, that it's not that far from Huntington Beach. I'll try getting the address and a map so we can have an idea of where it's at.

I am looking forward to Balboa Beach, we don't really gather up that often and to do it in such a unique way sounds great!


Juanita, of course my house is open for all of you anytime.  Consider it for the Christmas gathering and for any other event. I remember that last year it was under construction and I was already feeling bad cause I had mentioned that this year it would be more suitable to use it... However, I have to admit that even if I would have logged in before, the bonfire would have totally ruled out my house..Lol!  biggrinbiggrinbiggrinblehbleh By the way, poor Annette and the other Divas they had to sleep in my ugly place.  I felt so bad for them, I promised them that it would be all good for this year if they came for the concert but unfortunately Annette couldn't make it.  

--Do you know if the girls made it?

Anyway, here is a few helpful suggestions that might be useful for that day. Feel free to edit the list.

Well what do you guys think will be best? to BBQ something there (carne asada, pollo asado)? or bring food that is already prepared (pizza, fried or grilled chicken, etc.)?
