I want to take this opportunity to give an official apology to everyone but specially Manny for this day. I had planned this day so well. I even bought some chips and a bottle of Corralejo that I still have for one reason . I don't want to open it because it belongs to Manny.
My boss called last minute and asked to please back her up for an annual event that the city of Monterey Park does and runs from 9am - 9pm. We are usually there to recruit people into our program. She didn't have no one else to work for her on that day. She had scheduled a person but they had an "emergency" and didn't show up. I couldn't say "no," because she was there for the worst moments of my life--When I lost my father. She waited patiently and told me that whatever time it took me to go back, that my place at work would be there waiting. She has given so much and I have learned so much from her...That is why it was so hard to say "no," Manny.
I know you were there too, I still remember the call of support you gave me without even knowing who I was. I remember your words clearly and believe me I had a hard time deciding but I knew you would have the suport from my other fellow tequis and on the other hand, she said I was the only one to cover this event.
I told her "yes" and rushed out of my house to the event. when I finally found the moment to call you Manny, I noticed that I had left my cell at my house.
Really Manny, I know that you invited us with the intention of having a good time. I am trully sorry, I know how it feels to be expecting someone. I was waiting for the right time to write this message and ask you to please accept my apologies. I owe you big time. I really hope that this incident does not keep you away!
