--I think is too late to offer my house though...The bonfire sounds great! I had promised to offer my house last year but I logged in too late.--My brother has a DJ so maybe this will be good for next year.
I remember last year though, I had a lot of fun.. .Can't forget the girl from Las Divas...They really spiced up the day...LOL...Y que me dicen de Manny...I hope he goes this year...He really made my trip to LA special and fun. I am looking forward to Balboa Beach, we don't really gather up that often and to do it in such a unique way sounds great!
Juanita, of course my house is open for all of you anytime. Consider it for the Christmas gathering and for any other event. I remember that last year it was under construction and I was already feeling bad cause I had mentioned that this year it would be more suitable to use it... However, I have to admit that even if I would have logged in before, the bonfire would have totally ruled out my house..Lol! By the way, poor Annette and the other Divas they had to sleep in my ugly place. I felt so bad for them, I promised them that it would be all good for this year if they came for the concert but unfortunately Annette couldn't make it.
--Do you know if the girls made it?
Anyway, here is a few helpful suggestions that might be useful for that day. Feel free to edit the list.

I did some research online on Balboa Beach and I read that the pits are on a first come, first served basis. So someone would have to get there before to get a pit for us. Erika and Mary, can you guys be in charge of that?
I also read that they sell wood for the bonfires near the beach, so we can buy that there.
Also, I read that your not allowed to bring portable grills onto California state beaches, Mary do you know if that is true at Balboa Beach?
Bonfires are great for the evening and into the night, curfew I think is 10pm. A lot of people like to make smores and cook hot dogs over the bonfires, so maybe that's something we can do. But what time should we start, 2, 3, 4pm?
-- I think 4pm sounds good...Or should I say 3 for everyone to show up at 5?..You know, we always run Diva Time... LOL... I say 4 because of the hot weather,By this time the sun should be a little down.
-- I think if we take some sides like salad,sandwiches, and chips along with the dogs and marshmallows, we should be ok.
-- We also need a boom Box and Cds!-- I have one but it's not all that, If you want to I can take it just in case. If someone has a better one though, please volunteer.
-- One question: Do they allow alcoholic drinks at that beach?

Any more suggestions on the time we should start? It is true we are always running on Diva Time, so like Conie said I think we shouldn't set it too late. I think 2 or 3pm would be fine.
I'm still waiting to hear from some people before I actually send out the emails and bulletin for the RSVP and the list of who is taking what.
I'll post up a new topic tomorrow or saturday for the RSVP's, the list of who is taking what and all the info for the gathering (place, date, time, map).
As far as food I think it's best to take food that is already prepared and ready to serve. We can do the grilling of the hot dogs and smores in the evening.
